Deets: Rust-Oleum celebrated the inaugural debut by hosting a high-energy evening featuring industry legend, Persue, and rising talent, George F Baker III. The two artists partnered with Rust-O to bring the new line to life, painting it out on the canvas in a thrilling head-to-head spray paint battle at the Secret Walls headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. With only 90 minutes to ideate and complete their piece, the artists faced-off against each other (Persue with artist Emily Ding and George F Baker III with artist Allison Bamcat) in a frantic adrenaline rush energized by the cheers of the crowd. A decibel meter measuring audience reaction — helped to determine the winners of the night: George F Baker III and Allison Bamcat. All of this action was hosted by Nick Major.

Beyond the battle, attendees enjoyed exclusive access to try the new Rust-O spray paint, along with limited-edition merchandise giveaways. The celebration was more than just a launch—it’s a tribute to the art community and a preview of the future for Rust-Oleum’s commitment to creatives and the industry.

Deets: Get ready, Los Angeles—Little Tokyo is set to transform into the electric nightlife of Tokyo’s Golden Gai for one unforgettable evening. On Friday, March 14, 2025, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC), in partnership with Suntory’s MARU-HI, presents ‘MARU-HI Izakaya,’ a first-of-its-kind event bringing the essence of Japan’s beloved izakayas to life.

For one night only, Isamu Noguchi Plaza will pulse with the vibrant energy of Tokyo’s traditional bar scene, featuring custom-designed izakaya counters, where guests can sip, savor, and socialize like never before. This immersive, ticketed experience offers an evening of expertly crafted small plates, premium MARU-HI cocktails, and authentic izakaya vibes—right in the heart of L.A.

A Taste of Tokyo, Curated for L.A.
Step away from the usual bar scene and discover the magic of Japan’s izakaya culture—where good food, great drinks, and meaningful connections take center stage. Enjoy a curated marketplace of offerings from some of L.A.’s top eateries—including Yakitoriguy, Far Bar, Yama Seafood, Spoon by H, and many more—each showcasing their unique flair in shareable, umami-packed bites.

Complementing these flavors is MARU-HI, a bold new sparkling citrus cocktail from Suntory inspired by Japan’s beloved ‘Chu-hi’—a Tokyo nightlife beverage staple known for its bright, refreshing taste that pairs perfectly with izakaya-style dining.

A Night to Remember—And a Mission to Support
“The ‘MARU-HI Izakaya’ is more than just an event—it’s a chance to experience Japanese culture in its most authentic, communal form,” says Patricia Wyatt, President & CEO, JACCC. “We’re thrilled to partner with MARU-HI to bring this vision to life, while also supporting JACCC’s mission to preserve and share Japanese and Japanese American culture with future generations.”

With limited seating at the specially built izakaya counters, this intimate gathering is designed for seamless interaction, fostering connections over elevated food, drinks, and storytelling—reminiscent of Tokyo’s hidden izakayas.

Hint for the Average Socialite: Get Your Tickets Before They’re Gone! This exclusive 21+ event runs from 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM. Tickets are just $10 and include entry, two drink tickets, and a reserved seat at the izakaya counter (food purchases separate).

Don’t miss this one-night-only chance to experience Tokyo’s Golden Gai—no passport required.

When: Sunday - Wednesday 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Thursday - Saturday 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Deets: The West Hollywood EDITION is pleased to announce that creator, home-chef, and famously doting husband, Desmond Scott has created a limited-run menu, inspired by his passion for cooking for loved ones. Blending sophistication with the soul of a home-cooked meal, the menu incorporates Desmond’s Texas roots with the California backdrop to create a rounded selection, which will be available at the Lobby Bar for the month of March.

Centered on flavor, nostalgia, and connection, the menu will feature:

Savory Monkey Bread - Whipped honey butter, bacon jalapeño jam

There’s nothing like a nice warm pillowy bread to accompany your favorite bar side drinks! My savory take on traditional dessert monkey bread pairs whipped honey butter and bacon jam with a kick, which can be applied one at a time or both for an amazing bite.

Brisket Burnt End Bao Buns - Gochujang barbeque sauce, pickled onions, cilantro fried garlic

As a Texas Native I’m biased on finding the best barbecue and there’s no such thing as Texas BBQ without brisket! Texas BBQ meets Chinese steamed bun in this brisket bao creation! I love merging the concepts of two cultures and this dish creates a fun twist on two traditional items.

Hamachi Crudo - Grapefruit, serrano chilies

Nothing says California to me like fresh and masterfully prepared fish. I wanted to add something refreshing and light to the menu and this Hamachi Crudo perfectly balances the acidity of grapefruit, salty caviar, and olive oil for a luxurious mouthfeel.

Tie The Knot (Cocktail) - Tequila, white cherry syrup, coconut cream, fresh lime juice
